Biyra guide

Social media video sizes for real estate: Reels, TikTok, Shorts and LinkedIn

For Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels, make listing videos vertical at 9:16 and 1080 × 1920 pixels. Keep them between 15 and 60 seconds for property posts, even though the platforms allow longer. Use 16:9 for YouTube, your website and the MLS. Biyra exports both formats at 1080p.

Quick reference

  • Instagram Reels: vertical 9:16 is standard; keep listing Reels under a minute.
  • TikTok: vertical 9:16, at least 720 × 1280; TikTok Studio accepts long uploads, but short tours perform best.
  • YouTube Shorts: vertical or square videos up to three minutes count as Shorts, at up to 1080p.
  • Facebook Reels: vertical 9:16; keep it short.
  • LinkedIn: supports vertical and horizontal video; 15 to 30 seconds is LinkedIn’s own recommendation for video ads.
  • YouTube, websites and MLS: horizontal 16:9.

Why length matters more than the limit

Platforms keep raising their maximum lengths, but viewers scroll fast. A 15 to 30 second tour that opens on the best room usually does more than a long one. Link to the full listing or a longer YouTube version for people who want more.

Sound and captions

Many people watch with sound off. Biyra videos are silent, so add music from the platform’s library, where it is licensed for that platform, and put the price, beds, baths and location on screen as text.
