Biyra guide
How to add a video to your Zillow, Realtor.com and Redfin listing
Most listing videos reach Zillow, Realtor.com and Redfin through your MLS: you host the video on a page such as YouTube, then add that link to the listing’s virtual tour field, which the portals display. Zillow Showcase listings can also carry one video of up to 120 seconds uploaded by the photographer. Keep MLS links unbranded, because most MLSs fine branded tours.
The route that works almost everywhere: your MLS
Upload the video to a host that gives it its own web page, such as YouTube or Vimeo, then paste that page’s link into the virtual tour or video field when you enter or edit the listing in your MLS. Portals that receive your MLS feed pick it up from there.
Many MLSs require this field to be unbranded: no agent name, photo, logo, phone number or website in the video, and in some cases not on the hosting page either. Biyra videos have no watermark unless you add one, so the downloaded file is unbranded by default.
- Make the video in 16:9 for the MLS and portals.
- Upload it to YouTube (unlisted or public) or Vimeo.
- Use a channel without your branding if your MLS requires it.
- Paste the link into the MLS virtual tour field.
- Check the listing on each portal a day later.
Zillow
For Zillow Showcase listings, Zillow’s help center says each listing can show one video of up to 120 seconds, uploaded by the photographer through Zillow’s Aryeo platform and selected by the agent in the listing’s carousel. The video can include an agent introduction but not persistent logos, watermarks or advertising. It autoplays without sound, so put key information on screen.
For standard listings, use the MLS virtual tour route above.
Realtor.com
Realtor.com’s agent help describes a virtual tour or video link field in the listing details. The link must open a web page, such as a YouTube or Vimeo page, rather than a raw video file.
Redfin
Redfin’s agent FAQ says it displays YouTube links and Matterport tours added to the MLS virtual media section, or added on request by Redfin customer service.
Before you publish
Watch the whole video against the listing photos and confirm the property details are right. If any images were virtually staged or edited, follow your MLS and state disclosure rules for the video as well.
