Biyra guide
How much does virtual staging cost?
AI virtual staging costs from about $0.25 to a few dollars per photo, human-edited virtual staging is often around $30 per image, and physical staging with rented furniture usually costs far more. The right choice depends on how many rooms you stage and how much control you need over the design.
AI virtual staging
AI tools furnish an empty room photo in seconds or minutes. Pricing is either per photo or a monthly plan with a photo allowance. Biyra charges 0.25 credits, or $0.25, per staged photo with no subscription. Subscription tools such as Virtual Staging AI list plans from $16 a month for 6 photos.
Human-edited virtual staging
Services such as BoxBrownie use human editors and list virtual staging at about $30 per image, with longer turnaround. You get more control over furniture choices and can request specific changes.
Physical staging
Renting and placing real furniture costs much more than virtual staging and usually involves a monthly rental fee, but buyers see the furnished room in person, not only online.
Example: staging four empty rooms
- AI per photo (Biyra): 4 × $0.25 = $1
- AI subscription: a monthly plan from about $16
- Human-edited: 4 × about $30 = about $120
Do not forget disclosure
Most MLSs require virtually staged photos to be labeled, and some states require access to the original photo. See our guide to virtual staging disclosure rules.
